dc.description.abstract	Diplomová práce je zaměřena na kvalitu života seniorů a porovnání spokojenosti a důležitosti pro seniory žijící v domácím prostředí a seniory žijící v pobytových zařízeních. Text tvoří část teoretická a empirická. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá stářím a vývojovými etapami. Dále biologickými, sociálními a psychickými změnami stárnutí. Vymezuje pojmy gerontologie a geriatrie. Druhá kapitola je věnována kvalitě života a vymezení tohoto pojmu. Zabývá se kvalitou života seniorů a možností trávení volného času seniorů v domácím prostředí a seniorů žijících v pobytových zařízeních. Zmiňovány jsou i sociální služby poskytované seniorům. Ve třetí kapitole jsou zmíněny nejčastější onemocnění a diagnózy provázející seniorský věk a zdravotnická péče o seniory. Popsána je sociální péče o staré lidi. Empirická část se zabývá úrovní spokojenosti a důležitosti seniorů žijících v domácím prostředí a v prostředí pobytových zařízení kdy jednotlivé hypotézy jsou verifikovány či falzifikovány.	cs

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis is focused on the quality of the life of seniors. It compares the feelings of the satisfaction and the importance of seniors living either at home or in retirement facilities. The text consists of teoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical section is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with old age and developmental stages. Furthermore, there are specified the biological, social and psychological changes of aging. It also defines conceptions as gerontology or geriatrics. The second chapter deals with the quality of life and the definition of this concept. It presents the quality of life of seniors and the leisure time opportunities of those living at home or living in retirement facilities. Social services provided to seniors are mentioned, too. The third chapter describes the most common illnesses and diagnosis related to senior age and the medical care of seniors. Characterisation is also given about the social services to older people. The empirical part focuses on the level of satisfaction and the importance feelings of seniors living at home environment and in retirement facilities. The particular hypotheses are verified or falsified.	en
