dc.description.abstract	Tato práce soustřeďuje základní informace o ornamentu a dekoru, který se objevuje jak v grafickém designu, tak ve všech dalších formách výtvarného umění. Je zaměřena především na dekorativní kompozice, tvarosloví ornamentu, písmo a typografii, v neposlední řadě také na historii grafického designu. Cílem je zpřístupnit čtenáři obecnou problematiku ornamentu a vytvořit tak základní orientační body, na které se může "divák" či "režisér" v případě hlubšího zájmu blíže zaměřit. Seznam literatury zahrnuje stěžejní tituly, ve kterých zájemce o další studium najde vše, co tady postrádá.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis comprises basic information about ornament and decoration which is used both in graphic design and all the other forms of graphic arts. It is focused especially on decorative compositions, the morphology of the ornament, script and typography, and last but not least on the history of the graphic design. Its objective is to open to the readers the issue of the ornament in general and thus provide the "viewer" or the "director" with the essential points on which they can focus if they show a deeper interest. The list of sources comprises main titles in which those interested in further information can find all they miss herein.
