dc.description.abstract	Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou mentálního postižení, a to konkrétně dopady péče o dospělého jedince s lehkým až středně těžkým mentálním postižením na život jeho rodičů. V teoretické části se práce zaměřuje na vymezení mentálního postižení, charakterizuje příčiny jeho vzniku, uvádí jeho klasifikaci a specifikuje lehkou a středně těžkou mentální retardaci. Dále se zabývá rodinou, jejími funkcemi a také popisuje charakteristické znaky současné evropské rodiny stejně jako rodinu s dítětem s mentálním postižením. V neposlední řadě přibližuje sociální politiku a sociální péči. V empirické části práce popisuje kvalitativní výzkum formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s rodiči, kteří pečují o dospělé dítě s mentálním postižením.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis deals with the problems of mental disability, specifically with the impact of care for mildly to moderately severely mentally handicapped person on a life of his parents. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of mental disability, its causes and classification. This part specifies the mild and moderate mental retardation, as well. Another aim of the theoretical part is to deal with the issue of family and its functions, and to describe the characteristics of contemporary European families, as well as families with mentally disabled child. Finally, this part detects social policy and social welfare. The aim of empirical part is to describe qualitative research realized by interviews with parents who take care of the mentally disabled child.
