Diplomová práce se zabývá teorií beatů, kterou vymyslel a popsal filmový teoretik Robert McKee ve své knize Story. Tato práce popisuje strukturu filmového příběhu podle Roberta McKeeho a následně syntetizuje teoretické poznatky do analýzy beatů u čtyř filmů. Jedná se o vzorovou analýzu beatů ve filmu Vykoupení z věznice Shawshank (Frank Darabont, 1994) a analýzu tří vybraných českých filmů natočených po roce 2000; Tmavomodrý svět (Jan Svěrák, 2001), Štěstí (Bohdan Sláma, 2005) a Kobry a užovky (Jan Prušinovský, 2015). |

This thesis looks into the theory of beats which was introduced and described by a film theorist Robert McKee in his book called Story. The thesis describes the structure of a film story according to Robert McKee. Then, it synthesises theoretical findings into a beat analysis in four films.
