dc.description.abstract	Práce se zabývá regionální politikou Evropské unie s důrazem na možnosti strukturálních fondů Evropské unie. Podává přehled o vývoji evropské integrace, problematice regionálních disparit a poukazuje na základní principy a cíle strukturální politiky. Definuje politiku hospodářské a sociální soudržnosti jako jednu z možností snižování regionálních nerovností uvnitř členských států. Prakticky popisuje regionální politiku a systém využívání podpory ze strukturálních fondů v České republice se zvláštním zaměřením na Statutární město Opava. Dále představuje jednotlivé operační programy programového období 2007 - 2013, pomocí nichž mohou subjekty podporu fakticky čerpat. Práci uzavírá projekt na výstavbu nové cyklotrasy na Opavsku, která by měla být spolufinancována z prostředků Evropské unie.	cs

dc.description.abstract-translated	The thesis deals with the regional policy of the European Union with the view of the possibilities of EU Structural Funds. It makes a survey of the development of European integration, problems of regional disparity and it points out the fundamental principles and objectives of structural policy. It defines the policy of economic and social cohesion as one of the possibilities to cut down regional inequalities in the member states. It describes the regional policy in a practical way and the system of utilisation of financial support from European Structural Funds in the Czech Republic with the special focus on the Corporate Town of Opava. Further it introduces particular operational programmes in years 2007 - 2013, by the help of this the bodies can draw on the financial support. The final part of the thesis includes the building plan of a new cycling path in the region of Opava, which should be partly financed from the resources of the European Union.	en
