| Abstrakt: | The submitted information was received on the basis of the project "Future of towns with monofunctional industry in the countries of the Visegrad Four". Towns, the economic base of which is created by a dominant branch of industry are markedly more vulnerable than towns with diversified branch structure. Monofunctionality in the socio-economic area is, similarly as in nature, extremely sensitive to changes. The objective of the project was to compare the reviewed towns from the four countries grouped within V4 and point out namely the positive approach to the preservation of the legacy of T. Bata activities, as well as their socio-economic development. |
