Changes of the celebration of Labour day in Bata's Zlin in the era of the first Republic of Czechoslovakia

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje průběhu oslav Svátku práce v baťovském Zlíně v období první Československé republiky. V první části práce je zobrazena historie Zlína od konce 19. století po začátek druhé světové války, počátky firmy Baťa a také stručná historie Svátku práce. Druhou část tvoří vlastní baťovské oslavy tohoto svátku.

The main topic of this bachelor's thesis is the celebration of Labour day in Bata's Zlin in the era of the first Republic of Czechoslovakia. In the first part, history of the city from the end of the 19th century till the beginning of World War 2 is described, along with the foundation of Bata's shoe factory and the origins of the Labour day. The last part looks deeper into the Bata's Labour day celebrations itself.
