Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem a následnou analýzou titulků k reality show Survivor. Cílem práce je přeložit titulky k seriálu, následně je zanalyzovat a okomentovat případné problémy, které při překladu nastaly. Práce nejprve představí reality show Survivor, dále v teoretické části zabývá překladem, titulkováním, strategiemi, které se v tomto oboro používají. Dále je zmíněna i jazyková stránka, jako slang či skloňování cizích jmen. V praktické části jsou jevy vysvětleny na příkladech, jsou také porovnány povedené a nepovedené překlady. Během práce přichází zjištění, že práce překladatele je velmi náročná ale i zároveň forma umění, jak akurátně předat informace z jednoho jazyka do druhého. |

This bachelor thesis deals with the translation and subsequent analysis of the subtitles for the reality TV show Survivor. The goal of the thesis is to translate the subtitles of the show, then analyse them and comment on any problems that occurred during the translation. The thesis first introduces the reality show Survivor, then the theoretical part deals with translation, subtitling, and strategies used in this field. Furthermore, the linguistic aspects such as slang or assigning cases to foreign names are also mentioned. In the practical part, the phenomena are explained with examples, and successful and unsuccessful translations are compared. In the course of the work comes the realization that the work of a translator is very demanding but also a form of art on how to accurately transfer information from one language into another. |
