dc.description.abstract Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza kryptoměny Cardano jakožto blockchainu "třetí generace". Práce se dělí na dvě části, a to na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část se zabývá představením prostředí kryptoměn a kryptotrhů, představením kryptoměny Cardano, jeho vývoje, technických vlastností či výhod a nevýhod v porovnání s první a druhou generací kryptoměn. Také se zaměřuje na specifika kryptoměny Cardano, jako jsou Ouroboros protokol, eUTXO model a škálovatelnost prostřednictvím Hydra protokolu. Praktická část se zabývá komparaci mezi Cardanem a Ethereem a také analýzou Cardana z pohledu deseti determinantů poptávky a plnění peněžních funkcí.

dc.description.abstract-translated The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the cryptocurrency Cardano as a "third generation" blockchain. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part contains the introduction of the environment of cryptocurrencies and crypto markets, the introduction of the Cardano cryptocurrency, its development, technical features or advantages and disadvantages compared to the first and second generation cryptocurrencies. It also focuses on the specifics of the Cardano cryptocurrency, such as the Ouroboros protocol, the eUTXO model, and scalability through the Hydra protocol. The practical part contains the comparison between Cardano and Ethereum, as well as the analysis of Cardano in terms of the ten determinants of demand and the fulfillment of monetary functions.
