dc.description.abstract	Tato diplomová práce podává náhled do počátků utváření vězeňského systému v českých zemích. V dalších kapitolách nastiňuje moderní základy vězeňství po vzniku ČSR a pohled je také směrován do období let 1945 - 1989. Dále se zde zmiňuji o vězeňských zařízeních a jejich zvláštnostech, o minulosti a současnosti některých věznic a vazebních věznic. V následujících kapitolách popisuji legislativní úpravu výkonu trestu a také se zmiňuji o účelu a druzích trestů tak, jak jsou stanoveny v Trestním zákoně č. 40/2009 Sb. V neposlední řadě podávám náhled do činnosti jednotlivých oddělení ve věznici.	cs

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis gives an insight into the beginnings of the formation of the prison system in Bohemia. In other chapters outlining the basics of the modern prison system after the formation of Czechoslovakia and the view is also directed to the period 1945 - 1989. Furthermore, there is a mention of the prison and their peculiarities, the past and present of some prisons and remand prisons.The following chapters describe the legislation of the imprisonment and also focus on the types of penalties as provided for in the Criminal Code No. 40/2009 Coll. Finally, I provide insight into the activities of each department in the prison.	en
