Navzdory našim přáním je agresivita součástí našeho života. Díky úspěchům moderní civilizace není člověk v našem zeměpisném prostoru běžně konfrontován s život ohrožujícími stavy. Takové stavy se koncentrují do nemocnic a běžný pacient je pak na ně zcela nepřipraven. Výsledkem bývá často neadekvátní reakce, mnohdy sklouzávající do agresivity. Cílem této diplomové práce bylo ozřejmit četnost a závažnost agresivity ve zdravotních zařízeních. Jako metoda byl zvolen dotazník o třinácti otázkách, který byl vyplněn zdravotnickými profesionály ve fakultní nemocnici a na soukromé poliklinice v průběhu března 2012. Vysoká četnost kontaktů s agresivitou byla překvapující. Nebyl žádný zdravotník, který neměl kontakt s agresivitou a 55% mělo kontakt s fyzickou agresí a souvisejícím poraněním. Nejrizikovější prostředí bylo na jednotkách intenzivní péče a na standardních odděleních kardiologické kliniky ve FN U sv. Anny v Brně. Sestry jsou díky užšímu kontaktu s pacientem mnohem častěji vystaveny agresi než lékař. |

Despite our wishes, aggression is a part of our lives. Due to the success of modern civilization, a man in our geographical area is not commonly confronted with life-threatening diseases in their daily life. Such situations are concentrated in hospitals and the patient is then going totally unprepared for this situation. The result is often inadequate response, sometimes leading to aggression. The aim of this work was to evaluace the frequency and the severity of aggression in healthcare facilities. The particular method of evaluation chosen was a 13-item questionnaire (open ended as well as closed questions) that was completed by healthcare professionals in a teaching hospital and private clinic. The questionnaire was given to them during the March 2012. The high frequency of encounters with aggression was surprising. There were no healthcare professionals who didn't deal with aggression and 55% of them experienced physical aggression and sustained some kind of injury. The highest-risk environment was in intensive care units and standard units of the cardiology clinic of the University Hospital Brno (Brno, Czech Republic). Nurses are much more susceptible to aggression than doctor due to closer contact with patients. |
