dc.description.abstract	Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou eutanazie a paliativní péče. Teoretickou část tvoří tři kapitoly, které se věnují vymezení základních pojmů, historii eutanazie i paliativní péče, právní úpravě eutanazie v některých zemích a v České republice. Popsány jsou také konkrétní formy poskytování paliativní péče v hospici a v domácím prostředí, část práce je zaměřena na období umírání a smrti. V praktické části jsou předloženy výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu, jehož cílem bylo zjistit postoj laické veřejnosti k péči o umírající, názor na legalizaci eutanazie, zmapovat informovanost v oblasti paliativní a hospicové péče.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis deals with the issue of euthanasia and palliative care. The theoretical part is composed of three chapters that deal with definition of basic concepts, history of euthanasia and palliative care, euthanasia law regulation in other countries and in the Czech Republic. Also are described specific forms of palliative care in a hospice and at home, part of the work is focused on the period of dying and death. In the practical part are presented the results of quantitative research, whose aim was to determine the attitude of the general public to care for the dying, opinion on the legalization of euthanasia, investigate knowledge of palliative and hospice care.
