dc.description.abstract	Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na eutanazii a společnost. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na definici eutanazie a její druhy. Dále se zabývám eutanazií v některých evropských zemích, kde se eutanazie provádí. Uvádím argumenty pro a proti eutanazii. V teoretické části se také zabývám paliativní péčí, která s eutanazií nepochybně souvisí. Praktická část je zaměřena na kvantitativní výzkum, který zkoumá postoj odborné a laické veřejnosti k problematice eutanazie. Výzkum je zaměřen na společnost a její znalost pojmu eutanazie, dále na eutanazii a její legalizaci v České republice, argumenty pro a proti eutanazii a na potřebu a úroveň paliativní péče v České republice. Získané poznatky jsou analyzovány a vyhodnoceny v závěru práce.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis deals with euthanasia and society. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of euthanasia and its types. Further I concern myself with the issue of euthanasia in some European countries which perform euthanasia. I present the pros and cons of euthanasia. In the theoretical part there is also focus on palliative care which is without a doubt connected to euthanasia. The practical part focuses on quantitative research which examines the stance of both expert and lay public on the issue of euthanasia. The research focuses on the society's familiarity with the meaning of the term euthanasia, on the state and legalisation of euthanasia in the Czech Republic, the pros and cons of euthanasia and on the need for and the level of palliative care in the Czech Republic. The research findings are analysed and evaluated in the conclusion.
