Diplomová práce teoreticko-empirického charakteru se zaměřuje na téma smrti a umírání na 1. stupni základních škol. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak učitelé třetího ročníků základní školy s tímto tématem pracují z vlastní perspektivy. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vymezení klíčových pojmů smrt a umírání a předkládá teoretická východiska z oblasti thanatologie, death education, dětského pojetí smrti a učitelské role při práci s tématem smrti a umírání. Empirická část prezentuje výzkumné zjištění kvalitativního charakteru výzkumu, jenž byl realizován prostřednictvím polostrukturovaného interview s učitelkami třetích ročníků základní školy. Výsledky výzkumu odhalily, jaké formy podpory učitelé poskytují svým žákům, jak vnímají vlastní přístup a svou připravenost pracovat s tématem smrti a umírání na prvním stupni základních škol. V závěru práce je uvedeno doporučení, jenž by pomohlo toto téma učitelům ve své praxi otevírat. |

The theoretical-empirical diploma thesis focuses on the topic of death and dying at the first level of primary schools. The aim of the thesis is to find out how teachers of the third year of primary school work with this topic from their own perspective. The theoretical part focuses on defining the key concepts of death and dying and presents theoretical background in thanatology, death education, children's conceptions of death and the teacher's role in working with the topic of death and dying. The empirical section presents the qualitative research findings, which were conducted through semi-structured interviews with third year primary school teachers. The results of the research revealed what forms of support teachers provide to their pupils, how they perceive their own approach and their readiness to work with the topic of death and dying at the first level of primary schools. The paper concludes with recommendations to help teachers open up this topic in their practice. |
