dc.description.abstract	Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na ošetřovatelskou péči o periferní žilní katetry, které patří mezi nejčastěji využívané invazivní vstupy v klinické praxi. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část shrnuje poznatky o historii periferní žilní kanylace, kompetencích zdravotnických pracovníků, ošetřovatelskou péči, možných komplikacích a hodnocení místa vpichu pomocí klasifikačních systémů. Praktická část je zpracována formou kazuistik, ve kterých je popsána a analyzována ošetřovatelská péče o periferní žilní katetry u pacientů hospitalizovaných na standardním interním oddělení. V jednotlivých kazuistikách byly identifikovány nejčastější komplikace spojené s periferním žilním katetrem a popsány faktory ovlivňující jejich vznik. Z kazuistik vyplynulo, že důsledné dodržování ošetřovatelských standardů a pravidelné hodnocení místa vpichu výrazně přispívá k prevenci a minimalizaci rizika vzniku komplikací.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This bachelor's thesis focuses on nursing care related to peripheral venous catheters, which are among the most commonly used invasive devices in clinical practice. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical section summarizes knowledge regarding the history of peripheral venous cannulation, the competencies of healthcare professionals, nursing care procedures, potential complications, and the evaluation of the insertion site using classification systems. The practical part is presented in the form of case studies, which describe and analyze nursing care for peripheral venous catheters in patients hospitalized in a standard internal medicine ward. The case studies identify the most frequent complications associated with peripheral venous catheters and outline the factors influencing their development. The findings indicate that strict adherence to nursing standards and regular assessment of the insertion site significantly contribute to the prevention and reduction of complication risks.
