dc.description.abstract	Madeleine Albrightová je považována za první ženu s nejvyšším postavením v historii Spojených Států. Cílem této práce je analyzovat její roli při formování důležitých záležitostí zahraniční politiky a podporování občanských a politických práv, a současně přiblížit historii vývoje emancipace a práv žen, což je klíčové pro pochopení důležitosti jejího jmenování do funkce ministryně zahraničních věcí. Tato práce se zaměřuje na historický kontext postavení žen ve veřejných a politických sférách, na vliv, úspěchy a kritiku Albrightové během jejího působení, a současně zdůrazňuje její postoj k lidským a ženským právům. Tato práce přibližuje její značný vliv na zahraniční politiku, podporu rovných práv, a roli Albrightové jakožto průkopnice v oblasti tradičně dominované muži.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse her role in shaping important foreign policies and promoting human and women's rights, as well as providing the background of the process of women's emancipation and rights to understand the importance of Madeleine Albright's appointment as the first female US Secretary of State. The focus is placed on the historical context of women in public and political spheres, Alright's impact, accomplishments and criticism during her tenure, while also highlighting her approach to human and women's rights. This thesis shows her significant impact on US foreign policy and advocacy for equal rights, as well as Albright's role as a barrier breaker in field dominated by men.
