I přes komplexnost žánru se práce snaží vymezit hlavní rysy moderní sci-fi a tyto klíčové prvky následně aplikovat a analyzovat v dílech Andyho Weira. |

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the sci-fi elements in the books The Martian and Project Hail Mary by American author Andy Weir. The theoretical part presents the development of the science fiction genre and traces its evolution which helped to shape its modern form. Despite the complexity of the genre, the thesis aims to define the key characteristics of contemporary sci-fi and applies these elements in an analysis of Andy Weir's works. |
