dc.description.abstract	Tato práce se zabývá anglickými abstrakty českých bakalářských prací. Jelikož studenti nejsou profesionální překladatelé a překládají do svého nemateřského jazyka, je cílem této práce najít chyby, které studenti při překladu dělají a dát doporučení budoucím studentům. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí, a to teoretické a analytické. Teoretická část uvádí poznatky z odborné literatury o abstraktech, překladu do angličtiny a také zmiňuje strojový překlad jako možnost usnadnění překladu pro anglické nerodilé mluvčí. Analytická část se zabývá korpusem nasbíraných českých abstraktů a jejich anglickými překlady, které analyzuje podle stanovených kritérií. Součástí této části jsou také doporučení pro budoucí studenty. Tato doporučení vycházejí z chyb, které se v korpusu objevily, jako nekonzistentní překlad či volba neformálních prostředků. Zahrnují však také standardní anglický slovosled a překlady slov, která se v abstraktech část objevují.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis focuses on English abstracts of Czech bachelor theses. As students are not professional translators and they translate into their non-native language, the objective of this thesis is to find mistakes students make when they translate the abstract of their thesis into English and to give recommendations for future students. The thesis consists of two parts, namely theoretical and analytical. The theoretical part provides theoretical background from the specialized literature about abstracts, translation into English, and machine translation as an option for translation facilitation for English non-native speakers. The analytical part analyses the corpus of Czech abstracts and their English translations. The translations are analysed based on the defined criteria. This part also includes recommendations for future students. These recommendations are based on the mistakes that appeared in the corpus, such as inconsistent translations or informal expressions. However, they also include a standard English word order and translations of words that often appear in abstracts.
