Disertační práce se zabývá návrhem na zefektivnění systému řízení vysoké školy. Zlepšení financování vysoké školy je výsledkem pozitivních změn, které předpokládám v systému řízení univerzit. Vycházím ze základní teze, že univerzita je jednotný sociálně-ekonomický systém a jako k takovému je nutno k ní přistupovat i v oblasti řízení. Disertační práce v první části shrnuje poznatky vědy o managementu a popisuje současný stav systému řízení organizací. Disertační práce v návaznosti na teorii o řízení organizací, které byly založeny za účelem podnikání, zkoumá principy, na základě kterých jsou řízeny vysoké školy a tím si připravuje prostor pro analýzu principů alokace finančních zdrojů uvnitř univerzity. Poznatky ze systematické teoretické analýzy chování firem jsou aplikovány na prostředí vysokých škol tak, aby mohlo být vyhodnoceno, zda se vysoké školy přínosem moderní vědy o managementu řídí, či nikoliv. Součástí disertační práce jsou závěry z výzkumu, který jsem realizovala na jedenácti univerzitách. Výzkum se zabýval stavem systému řízení univerzit a analyzoval šest subsystémů řízení, kterými jsou strategické plánování, procesní řízení, vnitřní klima univerzity, architektura informačních systémů, organizační struktura a lidské zdroje. |

This dissertation is concerned with a proposal for improving the effectiveness of the university management system. The author sets out from the basic thesis that a university is a comprehensive social-economic system and as such it also needs an approach in the field of management. In the first section, the author summarizes scientific knowledge about management and describes the current status of the management system of the organization. In connection with theories of organization management, which have been established for the purpose of conducting business, the dissertation investigates the principles upon the basis of which universities are managed and thus prepare space for an analysis of the principles behind allocating financial resources inside the university. Knowledge from the systematic theoretical analysis of company behaviour is applied to the university environment so that it may be assessed whether or not universities are governed by the contributions of modern management science. Parts of the dissertation include conclusions from research, which the author conducted at eleven universities. The research was concerned with the status of management for universities and he analysed six management sub-systems, which are strategic planning, process management, internal climate of the university, architecture of the information systems, organizational structure and human resources. |
