Tato Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na překlad anglického odborného textu, a to zejména textu z oblasti návodů a instrukcí. Teoretická část práce se zabývá otázkou funkčních stylů v angličtině a poskytuje všeobecný přehled odborných stylů společně s jejich charakteristickými prvky. V této části jsou také uvedeny některé obvyklé problémy, se kterými se může překladatel uživatelských příruček setkat. Praktická část Bakalářské práce obsahuje vlastní překlad vybraných částí uživatelské příručky pro softwarový produkt s názvem "Translator's Workbench" a následnou analýzu překladatelského postupu, v níž jsou zmíněny nejvýznamnější rysy tohoto textu a také zvláštnosti, které se ve výchozím textu a v jeho českém překladu vyskytly. Aby měl čtenář o zvolené problematice lepší představu, byl vytvořen abecední rejstřík použitých odborných pojmů a jejich českých ekvivalentů. Tento rejstřík je umístěn v části s přílohami. |

This Bachelor Thesis is focused on translation of English technical text, especially its subgroup of written instructions. Theoretical part of the Thesis deals with English functional styles and presents a general overview of technical styles, together with their characteristic features. It also introduces some of the common problems that might occur in connection with translation of user's manuals. Another part of the Thesis contains Czech translation of selected parts of the user's manual for a software product "Translator's Workbench'q. The subsequent analysis of the translation process comments on the most relevant features of chosen text and points out the peculiarities of both the source text and its Czech translation. For reader's better understanding of the topic, the index of used English terms with their Czech equivalents was compiled. It is located in the section of appendices. |
