dc.description.abstract Cílem bakalářské práce je identifikovat úpravy ve dvou vydáních stejného románu od amerického spisovatele Williama Maxwella, The Folded Leaf. Bakalářská práce se nejprve zabývá autorem v kontextu americké literatury a srovnávaným románem v kontextu autorovi tvorby. Dále se pak práce změřuje na změny provedené v důsledku přepsání díla a nakonec zhodnocením těchto změn a jejich dopadu na děj románu. cs

dc.description.abstract-translated The purpose of the bachelor thesis is to identify changes made in two editions of the same novel written by American writer William Maxwell, The Folded Leaf. The bachelor thesis firstly deals with the author in context of American literature and also with collated novel in contex of author's writings. Then the bachelor thesis targets the changes made in novel in consequence of rewriting and finally deals with evaluation of these changes and their impact on the novel's plot. en
