Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou lidí s mentálním postižením, především dětí. Teoretická část popisuje příčiny, hlavní znaky mentální retardace a osobnost jejího nositele. Dále se zaměřuje na práva těchto lidí a péči o ně, na možné formy chování veřejnosti k nim. Popisuje Downův syndrom jakožto nejčastější formu mentální retardace. Praktická část mnohé z teorie potvrzuje, avšak naopak i vyvrací. Cílem je pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu prozkoumat dosud opomíjené téma, jakým "zkušenosti rodičů mentálně postižených dětí s reakcemi veřejnosti" bezpochyby je. |

This bachelor thesis deals with the problems of people with mental disabilities, especially children. The theoretical part describes the causes of mental retardation, its main characte-ristics and the personality. It also focuses on the rights of these people and on the care for them, the possible forms of public behavior to them. It describes the Down Syndrome as the most frequent form of mental retardation. The practical part confirmed many of the theories, but at the same time refuted some of them. The goal of the qualitative research is to examine the marginalized issue of "the experience of parents of mentally disabled children with the public reaction". |
