Teoretická část bakalářské práce osvětluje problematiku speciálního školství, popisuje projevy mentální retardace, základní onemocnění a poruchy, které nejčastěji postihují děti navštěvující speciální a praktickou školu. Věnuje se práci všeobecné sestry ve speciálním školství v České republice a nastiňuje práci školních sester ve Spojených státech amerických a Velké Británii. Praktická část zjišťuje názor pedagogů a odborných pracovníků speciálních škol a také rodičů a opatrovníků dětí navštěvujících speciální školu na důležitost pozice všeobecné sestry ve speciálních a praktických školách ve Zlínském kraji. |
