dc.description.abstract	Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem amerického televizního pořadu Masterchef. Analyzuje problémy, které se mohou v překladu objevit. Pojednává o kombinaci žánrů, ze kterých se Masterchef skládá a o důležitosti zachování vlivu, který má výchozí text na svou cílovou skupinu diváků. Teoretická část zahrnuje tři úrovně překladu: lexikologickou, gramatickou a textovou. Každá část teorie je podpořena praktickými příklady. Analytická část se týká porovnání dvou verzí překladu: autora bakalářské práce s verzí autora titulků. Zabývá se konkrétními překlady profesionalismů, idiomů, frázových sloves a terminologie, stejně tak stylistických prostředků a analyzuje nejvhodnější překladové metody a strategie.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This bachelor thesis focuses on translation of the American TV show Masterchef. It analyzes problems that may appear in translation. It discusses the combination of genres Masterchef consists of and the importance of maintaining the impact of the source text on its audience. The theoretical part includes three levels of translation: lexicological, grammatical and textual. Each part of the theory is supported by practical examples. The analytical part contains a comparison of two versions of the translation: the thesis author's with the subtitle creator's version. It deals with the concrete translations of professionalisms, idioms, phrasal verbs and terminology as well as stylistic means and it analyzes the most appropriate translation methods and strategies.
